Stage on Screen DVDs of classic theatre plays – about us

Stage on Screen was specially formed to record professionally produced theatre plays and distribute them on DVD.

The plays are staged and filmed at Greenwich Theatre, South East London, the award-winning UK venue which produces a nationally unique programme of educational productions for young people. Each play will run as a theatre production for a short season, with some going on tour. The professional filming will be on High Definition Video and designed to deliver the look and feel of a live performance.

The first plays are Doctor Faustus and The School for Scandal - DVDs of the performances are now available. These are multi-region, and on high definition film, so you’ll be able to enjoy them wherever you are .

These will be followed in May 2010 by Volpone and The Duchess of Malfi. Future productions are likely to include Antigone, A Doll’s House, Lady Windermere's Fan, The Alchemist and The White Devil.
