The School for Scandal – the Greenwich Theatre play production and DVD
The School for Scandal by Richard Brinsley Sheridan was performed at Greenwich Theatre in London during October 2009 . The vicious back-biting world of the eighteenth century is not so different from our own, and its themes of lust, seduction and deceit make this a timeless comedy.
Directing the play was Elizabeth Freestone, whose credits include Romeo and Juliet for the Globe Theatre, as well as many productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and the National Theatre. An excellent ensemble cast also included familiar faces from the RSC and the National, not to mention the West End, many with major TV and film credits to their name.
